Tiyul and Ropes and Mifgash, oh my!

Despite all the excitement of parents, food, and Zap yesterday, there were all sorts of things going on today in Galil land.  The Chotrim awoke early this morning to leave for their overnight tiyul to Ricketts Glen State Park, and the Tzofim were introduced to the high ropes course for the first time in their machaneh careers, and they were absolutely thrilled.  Even the wet weather didn't deter them from enjoying themselves.  They traversed the Incline Log, Catwalk, and Heebie Jeebie, not to mention Galil's renowned zip line.

In Pish the Bonim discussed the idea of holy places and homeland and its importance in both American and Israeli culture.  The Amelim talked about whether the individuals in a community need to have things in common.

Today the Madatzim left for Madatz Mifgash at Machaneh Moshava in Maryland, where Madatzim from five machanot will meet from Monday through Thursday to have peulot on national movement issues and learn about what the Madatzim are doing at the other machanot.  With both the Madatzim and Chotrim gone, machaneh feels a bit empty, so we are looking forward to the Chotrim's return from their tiyul tomorrow.
